In Part I of
our GHR supplement review, we took a quick look at this product.
Now let's take a closer look at its components and find out what
you can expect from using it. We had also mentioned that there are several different GHR supplements available. Below, we list the various ingredients of GHR-15 powder, and briefly describe what they are.
This powder version claims to be an all natural hormone releaser that helps to trigger your body's own production of HGH. The ingredients it contains are targeted for stimulating extra secretion of human growth hormone. It contains ingredients that are claimed to be "HGH releasers" and these are combined with several amino acids that have been found to help induce growth hormone secretion. The most notable two here are L-glutamine and GABA. Click here for GHR Powder
Let's take a look at GHR 15's mix of amino acids:
L-Glutamine: This is the most
abundant amino acid in your body. We have a full review
on L-Glutamine here. In relation to human growth hormone,
a study done by the Louisiana State University administered oral
Glutamine to 9 individuals to determine the effects on growth
hormones. The study demonstrated after 90 minutes of ingesting
the Glutamine, the subjects had elevated concentration of plasma
growth hormones.
L-Arginine: Supplementing L-Arginine
can improve immune system, reduce fat, increase wound healing,
among many other benefits. What's most interesting is that L-Arginine
appears to also help stimulate secretion of HGH.
L-Lysine: Lysine is another
amino acid. Although not potent like Glutamine of Arginine, it
has been shown to help boost the power of L-Arginine, and evidence
suggest Lysine with Arginine may increase thymic hormone secretions,
somewhat reversing the aging effects on your immune system.
L-Glycine: Various studies
have found Glycine helps increase HGH levels. One study showed
that 30 grams of Glycine raised HGH levels 10 times in patients
who had gastric surgery.
GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid):
GABA is a synthetic compound designed to lower fat levels and
increase lean muscle tissues by stimulating the brain to secrete
more human growth hormone. Studies have shown GABA to be effective
stimulating the secretion of HGH, and has been clinically proven
to help the pituitary gland secret HGH. We have a full article

supplements, benefits, research, and side effects here.
At first glance at the ingredients, GHR 15 appears to contain some ingredients that can be beneficial for stimulating increase growth hormone production. The one thing we should note here, however, is that while many of these ingredients have been found scientifically to increase growth hormone, the studies done
on them had used rather very large doses - doses that are not practical in real life and doses that are far above what you get with GHR-15 supplements. For example, the Glycine study mentioned above used 30 grams.
Each portion of GHR15 taken has minimal amounts of the ingredients
- take a look again at the ingredient list above.
You're unlikely to see the overtly positive
effects documented by the studies in any meaningful way.
All in all, GHR15 is a decent product, and has
received many positive user reviews, but understand that it's
not the 'miracle drug' or 'fountain of youth' that's going to
"reverse" your aging - you just might be setting yourself
up for disappointment. However, GHR15 does have its benefits considering
the ingredients and results others have experienced.
GHR Gold Review
GHR Gold is somewhat similar to the regular GHR-15 powder. It also contains many of the same ingredients - such as the amino acids, the anterior pituitary, and the hypothalamus. Some main differences are that this gold version also contains a phytosterol complex, a soy phophatides complex, panax ginseng, and a vitamin B complex.
Ginseng: Ginseng has
been used for centuries for its medicinal effects. Ginseng increases
resistance to stress, improves circulation, and mental functioning.
Ginseng has cancer preventive effects, and help type 2 diabetes
individuals control sugar levels. In general, it improves the
quality of life for the users, and has also been used as an aphrodisiac.
Phytosterol Complex:
Phytosterols are dietary plant sterols that have been shown to
help reduce cholesterol levels by reducing the absorption of cholesterol.
A study done on natural phytosterol in corn oil demonstrated a
38% lower cholesterol absorption for corn oil that did not have
its Phytosterol removed.
