Triceps Rope Pull Down Exercise
Triceps Rope Pulldown Technique & Execution
- Grip the rope with your palms facing each other
- Pulldown the rope until your arms are fully extended, and pulling the rope handles apart at the bottom of the movement for the extra contraction
- Release the rope and bring it back up to starting position
- Keep your elbows close to your sides during the movement
Overhead Triceps Rope Extension Exercise
This is a variation of the tricep extension exercise, except it is performed using the rope on a high pulley.
Triceps Rope Extension Technique & Execution
- Stand with your back facing the pulley
- Grab hold of the rope with your hands behind your head, and lean forward
- Extend your arms out fully feeling your triceps contract
- Then release the weight back to starting position
Two Arm Dumbbell Triceps Extension
Performing the dumbbell extension using two arms seated on a bench allows you to use heavy weights to really work the triceps.

- Sitting on a bench, with your two hands supporting the inside of the dumbbell, bring it directly up overhead with arms fully extended
- Lower the dumbbell directly behind your head, while keeping your elbows steady
- Press the weight back up to starting position
