Ingredient Details:
CytoSport's unique complex carbohydrate blend including amylopectin starches and maltodextrins from corn hybrids, Alph-L- Polylactate (patented L-lactate formulation containing non-acidic L-lactate ionically bound to L-arginine, fructose, glycine, L-histidine and L-alanine, sodium L-lactate, potassium L-lactate, L-pyruvate). fructose, glucose, potassium succinate, L-glutamic acid, inosine, magnesium succinate, calcium succinate, citric acid, malic acid, see label for more ingredients.
Each serving of Cytomax contain 20g of carbohydrates, but the bottle instructions suggests mixing 1 to 1.5 scoops with 16oz of water, so you're getting around 20 to 30g of carbohydrates per serving depending on how many scoops you add.
Cytomax comes in various flavors including tangy orange, citrus cooler, tropical fruit, grape, peach, lemonade, and cranberry grapefruit. I've tried orange, and citrus cooler flavors, and thought both were quite good. They mix easily, have a rather pleasant smell, and the mixture is very light and refreshing after mixing.
While Cytomax is an energy drink more commonly used by cyclists, and endurance athletes, I think it's a great supplement to have for a hardcore bodybuilder as well - it comes in especially handy for intense cardio sessions. Cytomax comes in 2 different sized containers - a 4.5lb tub that has 82 servings, and a 1.5lb tub.
