This study was designed to test the adaptogenic activity on stress indices of a biologically active fractions and compounds from the roots of Withania somnifera. Stress related indices were evaluated. The results of the study found that Withania somnifera could prove to be an effective agent to counteract stress. [6]

This study evaluated the adaptogenic activity of a standardized extract of Withania somnifera root using a rat model of chronic stress tests. The stress procedure was a mild and unpredictable foot shock administered once a day for 21 days. Male sexual dysfunction was one of the several problems associated with the induced stress.
However, the negative effects of the stress was reduced by administering Withania somnifera 1 hour before the foot shocks. The study concludes that Ashwagandha has significant anti stress adaptogenic properties. [7]
While there were plenty of studies showing the effectiveness of Ashwagandha in combating stress, they were all done using lab animals, and not human subjects. However, as seen in the studies listed above, stress and chronic stress reduces sexual desire and leads to sexual dysfunction - hence, it only makes sense that adding a stress reducing component to Steel Libido should only enhance its effects.

Yohimbe is a tree that grows in Africa, and

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of yohimbine in the treatment of men with orgasmic dysfunction. 29 men with orgasmic dysfunction were given 20mg dose of yohimbine, and the outcome and side effects were subsequently assessed. 52% of the men participated due to fertility problems, and 48% participated because they wanted to experience the pleasure of orgasm. The patients were classified into three groups of orgasmic dysfunction: primary complete (13), primary incomplete (8) and secondary (8).
Of the 29 participants, 16 were able to reach orgasm and were able to ejaculate. Of these patients, 2 men have subsequently fathered children, and 3 other men were also cured. The study concluded that Yohimbine is a useful treatment option in orgasmic dysfunction. [9]

This study measured nocturnal penile tumescence (penile erection during sleep) with the RigiScan monitor, hormone profiles, answers to the Florida Sexual Health Questionnaire, and clinical responses at baseline and after two different doses of yohimbine in 18 nonsmoking men with erectile dysfunction.
9 of the 18 men successfully completed sexual intercourse in 75% of the attempts. Men with less severe erectile dysfunction were more responsive to yohimbine treatment. The study concluded that Yohimbine is an effective therapy to treat organic erectile dysfunction in some men with erectile dysfunction. [10]
